I hope that someone on here as experienced this:
My neighbor had to replace his head gasket due to a coolant leak. During the breakdown it is apparent that he needs to replace his coolant hoses. We have called Fleetwood and they referred us to a dealer. The dealer referred us to Freightliner and Freightliner has referred us to Fleetwood.
Can anyone suggest a place that might know what we need or have a suggestion on where to begin our cross reference?
This is on a '98 Fleetwood Discovery with the 5.9L Cummins.
Thank you
Joe

NAPA may come nearer than any place. I have dealt with the local Freightliner shop. They will want the VIN & Engine #. At least that's what I had to furnish them...
Safe travels...

I don't understand why FL sent you to someone else - FL installed the engine cooling system, including radiator and hoses. Was this a local FL servce shop or the Customer Service line at FCC in Gafney?

Have your FIN number ready and call a "Authorized Freightliner Repair Center". Ask for their parts department. They'll do a search based on you FIN number and can tell you exactly which hoses were installed at the time of manufacture. If your current FL is telling you they can't provide the info then check with another Freightliner Dealer/Repair Center. Prior to my recent trip to Florida I visited my local FL Center and, with FIN in hand, I was able to purchase both the V and Serpantine belts for my 3126E Cat. The parts person was even kind enough to provide a routing diagram for the belts.
P.S. The FIN is the Freightline Identification Number of you chassis!

Actually, FIN stands for Fleetwood Id Number and is associated with Fleetwood RV bodies, regardless of chassis. Freightliner uses the chassis VIN as their ID and they will ask for the "last 6" digits of the VIN when you call.

I stand corrected. The VIN, as you mentioned, is the the number to have on hand whenever requesting parts info for the Freightliner Chassis
