Was preparing to crack 10000 miles on the coach and to my dismay the odometer recycled back to 0000.0 miles instead of 10000. Has anyone else had this happen? Did I forget to do something? Wierd!!

I can see where this may be an advantage but doubt that I could fool anyone for very long. OBD II or whatever system FL uses for on board diagnostics surely knows how many miles the coach has been driven.. Wierd!!

Yep, it sounds like it is time to get out the manuals and change it over from the odometer from the trip meter. Usually a button on the dash near the odometer. Pushing it in (and a release will change back and forth) and pushing and holding will reset the trip meter any time you want.

Ron and ken: you guys hit the nail on the head. Pressed the little switch on the instrument cluster panel and "walla" the odometer went to just over 10k. Have always been leery of pressing that little switch. thanks for the tip.

Now, can you tell me what the red lens pilot lamp located on the dash is used for? To the best of my knowledge I have never seen it illuminated so I presume that it is an indicator when something is wrong. I also don't recall seeing it in the FL manual but will check again when I can get out to the coach. Again, Thanks..

My best guess is that the red light is a warning that the Jacks are still down.

I think that "red lens pilot lamp" you are refering to might be the infrared receiver for the radio remote control.

Siggy, John & Bob: Thanks for the replies.

Turns out that the lamp is in fact the radio infrared detector. Traced the wire from the back of the lamp to the back of the radio. Being mounted in the dash instrument cluster one would think that it has something to do with the engine or xmission but that is not the case. Again, Thanks..

I've seen anywhere from 6 to over 10 mpg. Came to the conclusion that speed and relative wind is the biggest detriment to fuel economy. Recently did a short trip (about 400 mi.) pulling Chevy HHR with no wind, kept it 60 mph or under, got 9 mpg. Think that's about as good as it's gonna get.
