ABS systems

I have an intermittent ABS light that has been coming and going occasionally since I got the toad wiring done. I am going to have them check it out,but really don't think that's what it is as it's occasional.I don't remember seeing it before they did it,but then the steering wheel is in the way.But then the mechanics that worked on our Thomas school buses said that the light doesn't always indicate a problem. The light on my bus would come on and they'd do something to it and it'd go out for awhile and then it'd come back till they'd get tired of me writing it up...
After looking at the manual,I didn't get much help, but actually am wondering which ABS system I have on this coach. It's an '01 Tradewinds 7390 LTC. The manual says that there are two of them, but no-where does it tell you how to tell which. One is the Midland ABS and the other is the Meritor Wabco ABS system..

An intermittent ABS light may be caused by one of the sensors being dirty. They can be removed and cleaned fairly easy.

A call to Freightliner Customer Service would likely identify the ABS for you. Have the last 6 digits of your VIN handy.

Update on the sensors.Took it in to have the left rear axle seal replaced and wound up with the new seal, new shoes and drum on that side, new rear shocks as the left rear one was snapped and they found that the ABS sensor relay was bad.So all that is good to go..Oh,it was also leaking air around the sensor,or something like that, and they took care of that too.
