Adding coolant

We have a 2005 Fleetwood Excursion. I need to add coolant. I understand the coolant is added by putting it into the surge tank located (when viewed from the rear) on the right of and above the radiator.
My question is how much coolant should be added to the surge tank.
I have read to fill it between the Min &Max markings, but our surge tank has no such markings.
Your guidance and advice is appreciated.

Look at the far right side of the tank facing you - usually a 'cold' level indicator is molded into the tank (may be slightly raised - your finger may feel the definition). Failing that you could fill the tank to just below the fill neck and let the tank overflow system finds its own level. Ensure your cap is in good condition ...

Steve, a previous "RV tech" did that and we ended up with coolant on our toad.

Steve-
I looked at the surge tank and found the markings you referenced.
Thanks for your help!

Suggest you warm it up to temp then top off the surge tank. Chect the seals on the radiator cap.
