Adding secondary Fuel Filter

I have seen a number of posts where folks have added or relocated the secondary fuel filter to the rear of their coach. My MH is a 2002 Itasca Horizon with a Cat 3126 that was equipped with only one fuel filter/water seperator. I am going to add a second filter (with a priming pump). Has anyone out there done their own work? I know where it goes and how to "plumb it" but not sure I want to dig into the fuel system myself rather than have Cat do the work. Comments?-Thanks

Every time you change a fuel filter you dig into the fuel system. The only concerns I would have was cleanliness and getting the system bled when finished so it will start. I'd be sure I flushed all the new lines and filter housing with the system's filtered fuel before I hooked that last line to the pump inlet side, and bleed as much air out at that point as I could, but beyond that, a pretty straight forward upgrade. Good luck with it. Let us know how it goes.
