Air purge
I have a 2016 Thor on a Freightliner XC-r chassis. I read that there are two lanyards behind each of the front wheels to pull to purge the air tanks of water. I cannot find them. Has this been done away with for the new chassis? I have no manuals at all for this vehicle, dealer lost them.

It was hard to find mine because everything was sprayed with rubberized spray coating.
They should be coming out of the back wall of the wheel well.
Two on one side and one on the other.
Use your awning poll to reach in and pull them.

You may have to crawl under the middle of the coach and look between the frame rails, to see the tanks and purge valves, to then see where the wire lanyard is routed thru the frame to the wheel well area.
It's easiest and safest if you do that while you have driven up on solid wood ramps or other safe support.
Could be the wires on routed thru the frame correctly, or they have been covered with undercoating/foam of some sort.

They are placed in a ridiculous position. The lanyards come through the frame rail and end up right behind the top of the tire, between the tire and frame rail. Do a little hunting around and you'll find them. On my previous coach, they added a brass valve at the bumpers, that you just turned to open and let the tanks drain.

It really helps if you can turn the tires to full lock left and right - the wires will be visible towards the aft side of the tires. Once you identify them then you'll be able to pull the lanyards with the tires straight using your awning pole ...

They are really camouflaged, but you'll wonder why you missed them when you do spot them. Two of mine were out of line of sight behind wire bundles.

I have found the cables all neatly oiled up on some coaches, never where threaded thru the frame rails! You will have to get on your back & take a good look underneath. Let us know what you find.

It's not unusual for the coach builder to "forget" to bring the lanyards out into the wheel well when the body is added.

Much less water found in the tanks after I serviced the air dryer.
