Battery bracket

I have two steel frame hold-downs for the house batteries. A large one for three and a smaller one for the other battery. The problem is they are constantly collecting corrosion from the battery gassing. I have removed them, cleaned and painted and it keeps coming back. Has anyone found a solution for this problem. Would love to find somewhere that can dip them in liquid rubber like the handles on pliers. I'm sure somebody has come up with a novel idea for this. Maybe?

You can purchase the dip. I believe you will find it at an electrical supply house. Not sure if you can get it in any size less than a gallon. Do a search "rubber dip". It brings up a lot of different companies. Even some spray on.

Did a search like you said and found this stuff called Plasti-Dip that comes in a spray. Couldn't find it for sale anywhere except on line. The company home page says it's available at most of the big box stores, so I'll keep looking. Thanks for the help, Jerry or Carrol or maybe Max, depending on how smart he is.

You might consider using rubber auto undercoating. Comes in a spray can Can be purchased from most auto supply stores as well awally world and others.

Great idea, found some 3M rubberized spray undercoating at Walmart. A little expensive at $7 a can but if it works that's OK. Will give it a try, thanks Chief.

I finally remembered what someone told me when I was a teenager working in gas stations about using vaseline, it is very cheap and available in tubes that make it very easy to apply. I have found that it will reduce and even eliminate out gassing which causes corrosion. Apply a heavy amount of vaseline to the terminals of all batteries. It solved all my corrosion for the past 6 months. No more corrosion on bracket or any metal.
