Hi everyone Im new to this site and wanted to say Hi first. I have a few Problems that are drivin me nuts. I have a 96 Allegro Bus on freightliner chasses. when I put on brakes the brake lights stay on after i let off pedel. and also the flashers wont work just come on and stay on.I have checked all fuses and relays I could find. If I remove the relay under the dash that says brake lights everything works like it should. also the cruise wont work and when it does work it just keeps accelerating untill i hit the brakes. I have talked with gaffney and they told me there are 3 relays toward the back of the bus on the frame rail that I need to check but I can not find them. Anyone have any Ideas.

Thanks Darrin

I had a very similar problem when I got my present coach. The problem was intermittent so that made it all the more puzzling. My eventual diagnosis was that the brake light switch was staying closed. My forehead was permanently flattened when I discovered the cause. The floormat was sliding forward and getting under the hinged brake pedal which did not allow it to travel fully to the at rest position. DOH!!!

Thanks for the response. I was on the phone with Dewayne at gaffney and he walked me through checking the switches and they showed to be good.

I can't help with your specific problem but here is a link to a wiring diagram dated 1996.

In our former coach (Monaco) the cruise would do exactly what yours is doing if I would turn the main cruise switch on before putting it into drive. If I waited until I was in drive then it worked fine. My present coach doesn't have that problem. You might ask why I put it into CRUISE before DRIVE. Just habit from doing my Jeep that way. No special reason. Joe
