I am just about to change coolant fluid in my 2003 freightliner/winn journey with cat 330. The manual talks about making sure to get the air out of top and bottom bleeders. I could only find a bottom bleeder so called freightliner and they confirmed I only have a bottom. Is there any tricks I should know to make sure the air is out?

Thanks Bob

When I changed coolant on my former 05 330 CAT, I removed one of the
stopper plugs up on the thermostats housing and filled until overflow to be sure to get all the air out.I did 2 rinsing cycles then ran the engine each time until about 140F(plugs closed and reservoir cap open).
After the final drain, I put in 6 gal. of 100% strenght coolant first, because you can not get all the distilled water out.
The whole procedure took me about 2 days, because I did not like to put cold water/coolant into a hot/warm engine.
Also run your heater fully ON and watch the coolant tank level.
If you never changed the thermostats (regulators as Cat calls them),now would be the time.

Thanks for the info. When I ordered the regulators the freightliner rep said there was two. I haven't checked close yet but I see the one on the top that comes from the res but where is the second one.

Thanks

My thermostats were on the driver side of the engine in the same "box" side by side, with one common gasket.
