Hi guys. Does anyone knows what pigtail adaptor should i order from silverleaf for my code reader? Because it says there`s two stiles, one with a 9 pin and the other a 6 pin. My diagnostics port on the chassis has 9 holes but only 6 of them have pins in it. I`m a little confused. I know i have to buy the usb adaptor for the laptop as well. That`s not a problem. it`s just the expensive cable i have doubts about. Any info will be apreciated.

The ISL's that I've looked at have the 9 pin Deutsch connector.
12V +
12V -
J1708 +
J1708 -
J1939 +
J1939 -
J1939 shield
Silverleaf VMSpc uses only the J1708 and 12v+- pins

I have a 2008 Forest River Charleston 41 DST. That means i have to buy the 9 pin pigtail connector? And not the 6 pin? Still a bit confused.

At the end of the day it is the connectors mating together that matters, not the actual number of pins that connect. If your diagnostic plug has a 9 position connector, that is what I believe you need.

To be absolutely sure, I'd suggest calling Silver Leaf directly. I've called them a couple times and found them very friendly and helpful.

BUSA,
I have a 400ISL. My cable is a 9 pin. I would guess yours is the same.

Thank you for your taking the time to answer my questions. I will buy the 9 hole pigtail. Can`t wait to use it and get more familiar with my coach!
