Hello I have a 1999 Winnebago adventurer, on a freightliner chassis with the 24V 5.9 Cummins. I am have been looking for the plug to gain access to the computer. Not sure where it is located at, I have looked under the dash and around the engine. Any help in finding the plug would be helpful.

On my '99 Ultimate Freedom Freightliner it is under the dash way to the left high on the firewall behind a bunch of wiring harness and heater ducts. I spotted the cap that is supposed to be on it and followed the lanyard to the connector.

On mine, you lifted the guage pod and it was tie wrapped to a support beam to the right of the center of the guage pod. Round connector with a cap attached with a lanyard

I have a 2000 Untimate Freedom also. If the plug you are looking for is the one with engine data etc. mine was located in the engine compartment near the front somewhere. I don't know exactly where because a Freightliner mechanic found it after considerable cussing and complaining about why it was left in such a dumb place. Their was enough wire on the plug that it could be taped to the dip stic sleeve for easy access. By the way 2000 R do you have the baby moons on your front wheels. I bought my RV new and never had them. I didn't realize that they should be there until about the 3rd Ult Freedm that I saw over the years. Apparently a lot are missing either form the factory or lifted in the sale lot. Also do you have any signs of roof leak at the front cap. Had that problem for years. It's finally corrected now.

2000R, if your looking for an OBD ,automotive style plug your not going to find one, my 99 fliner has a round grey plug with a cap, left side of fire wall. and another beside the TCM under the bed.
I realize this is a late post but didn't see any indication that you'd found what your looking for.

My thought was the same as Skip's. There are screw on caps on most of these can disguise what they are so be sure to look for the round gray thing.
Good luck...

It won't be an OBD II plug - medium and heavy duty truck diesels use the SAE J1939 data bus and connector, while older ones may use J1708. The diagnostic connector is back by the engine, not under the dash.

Have one by the engine and one under the dash. I connect my VMSpc to the one under the dash. You should have a six or nine pin round connector.
