Hi, I was wondering did any one ever add daytime running lamps to a 2001 FL50? Any one know of a good place to get a kit for a commercial truck?

Thanks Bob

It probably is already wired for it and has a reroute end in the plug. Freightliner should have the box for a CDN unit. For my 03 Winnabego/Freightliner chassis it was about $40.

I installed some cheap after market unit, but it gave me problems being the FL has separate headlight circuits. Was your plug located under the dash on the left side? How many wires does it have? Numbers, colors? It is amazing how many people will pull right out in front of you as big as you are. I had a guy pull out in front of me in a Honda point blank. I was doing 45 MPH, sadly to say he died 45 Minutes later.

Call Frightliner first, as notslo suggests. Call the factory, not a local dealer.

I know you are asking for a FL50 ...but there may be some helpful info in this search...including photos of the module that works for some Cummins ...
