A bad pin or loose canon plug on the MMDC system. I had a bad one on a 2005 Diesel Bounder on the way from Dawson City, Yukon heading south a few years ago. Same indications but mine were intermittent. Looked like a pin ball machine up front. A Red Deer, AB Freightliner shop found it in a right rear compartment where the MMDC computer was located. In 2 hours I was back on the road.

I've had an intermittant dash gauges short for 5 years now and no one can find it. A FL shop in Wichita worked all afternoon during one of the times the gauges were off and never found the problem (cost me $330 for nothing). Next day the gauges were working just fine. This goes on 2-3 times a year. Didn't realize how bad a problem it was till the 3 year warranty on the chassis was gone.

When my coach was delivered to the dealer, the "drive away" company driver wrote it up for having an intermittent electrical problem. After going through the entire electrical system for more than two days, the Freightliner mechanic who did the trouble shooting and corrective work found a bent pin in one of the Freightliner to Winnebago interface connection plugs. Simple problem but very methodical and time consuming to find.

on my 08 tuscany my lights would do the on off trick at unpredictable times

i found the main harness connector under the dash not to be plugged in all the way. i pushed it in and the locks clicked, since then i have had no more flickering.

you would be surprised how many connectors i found not locked.
