Emergency Flasher Mechanism

O.K....new to me 2010 Tiffin Phaeton. I pull out the flasher arm this morning and can't get it to go back in or shut off the flashers. I look down into the area where the flashers and turn signal arm go into the column, and see this spring just laying in there. It's not attached to anything and doesn't appear to be broken. Is there an easy fix for this...or a trip to freightliner.

Don't know what the spring is, but the only way to shut off the flashers on my Motorhome is to turn on the left or right directional.

You'll have to locate and pull the flasher unit, or it's fuse, to shut the lights off .
If the spring is from the switch; and I'm thinking it is, due to the white grease ; when in place it would be retained by plastic tabs , and if they're broken , a new switch is the only option.

Just a thought, my flasher turns off by moving the turn signal arm fully to put either the left or right turn signal on...
