Noticed a red fluid leak from the area of my left rear wheels on a 2005, Itasca Horizon 40 foot motor home. The power steering resevoir is low so I am asuming a leak in that system. Will crawl under this weekend but would like a guestimate on what I will find. Might have to lose some weight so I can fit.

If you have the side radiator configuration, that is probably where I would look for the leak. (driver side rear). The fan is part of the power steering hydraulic system and is hydraulically driven. The power steering oil cooler is located there as well.

There was a recall on this system to resolve overheating problems and the blowing out of oil coolers. The recall was to replace the Dexron oil with 15W40 oil and to install a new oil cooler.

Thanks Harry for the info. Was your rig recalled and if so do you have any of the numbers available. I would think that my 40 AD would fall into the same category.
