I have a 2006 Winnebago Journey with the 350 Hp, Cat diesel. On one screenof the monitor, it shows instanteous MPG and average MPG.
My question is if there is a way to reset the average MPG display. Currently, it shows average MPG since the motorhome was first driven.
I tried searching this forum for any information, but didn't find anything.
I would appreciate any help.
Thanks
W8RLM - Bob

If it is like my '04, there is no way to reset the average. It is a "lifetime" fuel economy average.

It's in the freightliner recreational vehicle manual. Operator's manual/Maintenance Manual. Mine is dated 9/07.
The toggle switch is at the transmission selector pad. It is four sided and the "UP" arrow is yellow.
Sadly, I have been riding along at 9.3 mpg, fat dumb and happy. Fuel fillups NEVER said anything like 9.3 mpg. Foolishly read the manual @ Light Bar Control Unit.
Now I'm getting 8.4 mpg which matches fuel at fillups.
I was happier getting the "phantom" 9.3 mpg.
Hope that helps.
Kerry

We have an 05 Itasca 34H and I asked this same question at Camp Frieghtliner last Tuesday. The answer is if you have the MMDC display, you're out of luck. There is no way to change the lifetime fuel mpg.

Does this mean that this model doesn't have the option for "Today's MPG"? Hmmm.... that's too bad.

Yeah you're right. Wish we had that feature.

Ours has been showing 7.4 since the day I got behind the wheel (purchased used). 30k miles later, and after asking about a reset ... it changes to 7.5. Fill ups calculate about 8-8.1.

Just from reading different posts on Winnebago, Freightliner, etc., Winnebago made many significant upgrades on their 2008 models.
Makes me appreciate it more. If they had foreseen the economic mess we're in now, I doubt if they would have spent the money engineering and installing the upgrades.
I know who paid for these, we(me) the consumer. It's still worth it!
