Freightliner Recall

I was wondering if anyone has information on an Ignition Recall, for the Freightliner units that use GM Keys.

My unit uses a GM key and I am concerned.

Thanks

John

Here are the GM and Delphi part numbers.
GM #10392423 and Delphi #D14611,
Find out if Freightliner uses these numbers and you will know.

The GM recall is not about the keys, but the ignition switch its self and the way it's installed in the steering column.

It's the spring inside the switch that is the problem. The original spring was not stiff enough to hold the switch in the on/run position. It would vibrate and move itself into the accessory position thus turning off the engine causing loss of steering and electrical power to the air bags. That's the way I understand it.

Your mh uses an ignition switch from a 68 to 71 chev pu. As the switch is not in the column I dought it's on the recall.

Many of the newer vehicle putting the ignition switch on the dash. I have no idea about the vehicles in this recall.
