Freightlliner X-CR chassis brake issue

I have 12,000 miles on my 2010 Damon Tuscany driven 90% of the time on interstates. The steering wheel wobbles every time I brake after highway driving for a period of time. Freightliner dealer diagnosed warped discs. I have had the problem since it was new. I and now told it will cost $1,000 to replace the discs and $600 to install.
Seems like warranty should cover at least some of this but I am told no.
Anyone else with the same problem?

a lot of things can cause warped discs
heavy braking and then holding the pedal at the stop and the heat gets isolated on that part of the disc and it warps

but if it has done it since its new..i would ask
or look into
the shoes them selves being glazed
the brake assembly not installed correctly
the discs should be removed and measured with a dial indicator
12k on the discs they should be able to be trued without taking to much off unless they are just dished very heavily.

i would opt for a second opinion and talk to f/l again about help.

There is not much chance of getting anyone to warranty brakes. They are a wear/maintainance item. All it would take is one time overheating them on a hill to cause what you describe.

Two suggestions,

1) CALL 1-800-FTL-help 24/7. Those guys are always there and always ready to greet you in a very helpful way. Please have your serial number handy when you call.

2) Jump onto the Feightliner Chat room every Wednesday evening at 9 PM EST. You will be greeted by several experienced Freightliner owners who can help you with their first hand experiences.
