[I posted this on the other Freightliner forum as well...]

Time to pay the piper (boy am I going to pay) for M3 chassis maintenance, engine/gen oil changes, etc. Been thinking about using either Freightliner in Phoenix or San Antonio both of which are Oasis dealers. Does anybody have any personal experiences with either of these two shops?

John:

I had an M3 service done at the Freightliner Oasis Service Center in Tolleson, AZ in February of 2007. Tolleson is in the West Valley just off I-10 and the 101 freeways join up. Kirk Ault is the service manager. I know you would really like him--he is the best and the techs are most knowledgeable.

Look up some service reviews for this shop at the RV Service Review web site--http://rvservicereviews.com.

Their shop rate is $110. and the M3 service on my 2004 Journey took 6 1/2 hrs. + parts. They serviced my quiet diesel genset as well.

Their address is 9600 W Roosevelt St.
Tolleson, AZ 85353
Phone: (623) 907-9900
Email: kault@fazltd.com

Good luck!

John,
I've had good experiences with Freightliner and their counterpart, Grande Ford, in San Antonio as manager for a large commercial fleet. Their support for the truck side of the business was excellent. Hopefully they do the same for motor home customers.

John, you are only a day or so drive from Gaffney SC. The weather down South is cooling off a great deal now so it is more comfortable than it has been. Why not just wander on down to Gaffney and stop by the factory shop and have the work done? These guys train in the factory and if parts are needed they have them there. M3 is not cheap, but they work pretty fast there. Also have parking and 50 amp at the shop if you want to get there early or stay the night after the woek is done.

Thanks guys - it sounds like I'd do well at either dealer.

Doc - Unfortunately we have to be in Wichita by next Thursday (and then we are headed back home in Texas for a little while), so Gaffney is not part of the plan. I have had service done there, and I thought the quality and rates were quite good.
