I am trying to find the fuel/water thingy on my '01 Tradewinds 7390 LTC. It isn't where the book says it is and when Mike looked at it ,he said that it was right behind the right rear wheels. Was under there the other day and it turns out that that is the fuel filter.Still couldn't find the part I was looking for.
Did find an oil leak where the hydraulic pump is fastened to the engine and it turned out that the person that put a new one in last year before I bought it had put washers in the space between the flange and the pump instead of the required spacer and the bolt had backed off and the yoke had cracked. They had also left the top bolt of three off too.I wish I could find the shop that did that as it's costing me a fortune to replace that unit and it's only a year old.It was traded in in Yuma, but the work was done before the tradein.

Your fuel filter should mounted on the engine. Are you sure the filter behind the right rear tire is not an extra in-line filter? If so, you should be able to replace that one with the water/ fuel filter separator. Follow your fuel line from the rear tire to your engine. You should come to another filter with a hand pump attached.

I don't know anything about your unit but often the water separator is at the bottom of the fuel filter and there is drain at the bottom that you open briefly to let out any accumulated water.

On my Bounder the fuel/water seperator (fuel pre-filter) is behind the rear wheels near the back of the coach. The fuel small particulate filter is attached to the block. Yours is probably attached there too so I'd back track from the block and you will no doubt find it.
