On a recent return trip from the southeast we stopped to have dinner and discovered that the engine would not shut down. Also, the ABS light was on. I called Freightliner's national CS number where they connected me with a CS Technician. He suggested it was a problem in the ignition switch or ign power relay and referred us to Empire Truck Sales (authorized Freightliner Service Center) in Richland, Mississippi (just outside of Jackson).

They are open 24/7 but since it was Sunday they had a limited crew onboard, but they took us in, found us a spot to park and shut the engine down (disconnected the ECM). First thing next am they were on it. Problem was intermittent but the tech, Eric, worked diligently trying to track it down. Working with FCCC by phone, he finally tracked it down and changed the ign switch and power relay. No problems since.

This is a great facility; very large, but customer oriented, clean with a nice customer lounge, showers available and RV friendly. I recommend it to anyone needing service in the Jackson area.
