Haldex Purest Question

I have removed the Dryer from my 05 Journey , Freightliner chassie , 350 Cat
Purchased it from the Original owner . it now has 50K on the clock .
All looked good and barely a trace of moisture inside .
That being said Ill guess the heater is working proper .

There happened to be a spare filter included in the purchase .
After removal and disassembly . I am noticing a difference in the part numbers .
The one I removed is numbered 90580 And the one that is still in the sealed package is part # 28925

Although the both look alike in size . From what in researching , it states its for Volo and Mercedes , ect

Can any one confirm its compatable ? Or will I have to just give it a try ?
After all , what could possibly go wrong

I can offer what I did. My coach is a 2008 with the Haldex PurEst dryer, the dryer began making excessive purging noises, not the pop off noise when when the tanks are full, a different noise.

Not knowing when the dryer was last serviced, I found that the replacement cartridge was Haldex DQ6050, bought one from a truck parts supplier for $69.

The kit came with new bolts, new O ring, and cartridge. Stamped on the cartridge is 92528 with serial 1344. The same number you show on the bagged cartridge

Changing the cartridge stopped the purging noise

Has anyone ever dissected one of the Haldex Purest filters ?
Curiosity had the best of me , so I had to evaluate its cost
Here are a few pictures of what you will find inside
The large pile of silica is from the outer portion and the smaller is from the inner
You will also find about three foot of stanless sock . That may be of use for building a slober tube filter . You will find springs that may be of use to you somewhere in the future . Note , The rest is garbage
WARNING CLEAN UP MAY BE TIME CONSUMING !

LOL! I did the same. Started cutting through the plastic with a band saw, went great until the blade hit one of those springs inside and stopped. Not knowing what i hit, rotated the cannister to open like a can opener

Very impressive component, all that inside for $70
