Below is the information from the post (wglasson) he is reffering to. This thread has the correct title, the other thread should be deleted.

Dave

My water temp. and trans. temp gauges both quit working at the same time on my 1994 HR Navigator. I am attaching a picture of both gauges along with the harness that connects the two gauges and headlight switch. I attached my volt meter to the red wire and ground to the chassis and I get power. I then attached the meter to the red wire and grounded to the other 7 wires on the plug and got the same voltage reading by touching each of the wires except the purple wire in the very middle of the plug which I couldn't get a reading.
Can someone with electrical knowledge tell me if the purple wire could be my problem or give me any other advise. All advise will be greatly appreciated.

You will need to repost your pic. Because I did a copy and paste, it was apparently deleted when the other thread was deleted.
