How many cartridges does it take to grease your RV? So far I have paid to have it done but I am thinking I can do it.

My son Joe and I greased our Tour 40TD last month and only used about 1 tube (Amsoil Racing Grease).

It helps to have a 13-year-old to crawl around underneath and stick his arms into some of the tight spots!

The area that usually takes the most grease is the driveline. The slip joint takes more than 30 pumps with my hand grip style gun. Each of the U Joints take enough to make it come out all 4 corners. I probably use two tubes per year on that area alone.

I have two more grease guns besides the one for the driveline. My Meritor slack adjusters take special clay based grease and it probably don't use a tube every two years on them. The front end steering takes standard lithium and I probably don't use more than one cartridge per year on that.

For me, 1 tube does the entire chassis. I grease very often, so I'm not to concerned about specific grease specs for the slack adjusters, the are constantly getting flushed with new grease.
