AWESOME...Thanks a ton. Quite a difference in price between brands.

If you use your Cummins serial number on the Cummins site you can find out all of the relative information and parts.

That is not always the case.
I ordered a fuel filter based on the Cummins part number.
Turns out the Chassis builder changed the filter to a different type (Racor in my case). Fortunately I was able to exchange the filter.

Since the vehicle goes through 3 different sets of hands, some things can change.

Air Filter

I found this thread after searching without success for GAF P115294 without success. Like others before me, I went to LA Freightliner and got a FARR number FAR-062-891-001 but that didn't get me a lot further. However, a call to a local Auto Store got me a WIX number 46891 which crossed to FRAM CA7229. Since this thread is a few years old I wasn't sure if the CA7229 mentioned was still a good number. It is!

I have a 2018 Tiffin 40' QBH with a Cummins ISL17 Allison 3000MH
on a Freightliner Custom Chassis built in 10/11/2017

At least now I can start a valid search for a filter.

Same here. Also, Freightliner makes it very difficult to find any filters...oil, fuel or air. It is the opposite of Cummins where you can find filters everywhere. After spending hours trying to find Freightliner oil/fuel/air filters, I gave up and bought them from Freightliner....which is what they want us to do.

Looks the same from 50 feet. Mine is 18"x9.8'" None of the filters on your link are that size. I told you mine is "special".

Interesting that something else wouldn't use the same as there are quite a few 6.7 engines out there

They are all different. The engine requires a certain amount of air flow..... So the filter needs to have a certain diameter inlet and outlet, and a certain amount of filter surface to clean the air. You can have a shorter wider filter or a longer thinner filter. Now it's on the chassis builder to decide where they want the filter, and how much room they have for it, which depends on the customer (the body builder) as they have chassis cabinets, stuff going on upstairs etc etc. Then they pick a filter that's within spec and fits the space. Apparently they had to have one "special" made to get mine in spec.

All - Can find my Fleetgard AF on amazon, or you can try Filterbarn.com, although not to successful with Oil and fuel so use amazon. The filter has the number stamped into it.

Hopefully I get it the way FL made it, and not aftermarket "changes".
