Unhappy hub caps

Is There a problem with the engineering of the hub caps? I have lost two in the last two trips. I see by other threads that others are losing them as well. Both times that I lost them I had checked to be sure they were tight at the previous stop. I always thump my tires and check for any irregular
problems each time I stop. Many of our interstates are getting old and the surface causes the wheels to vibrate. Should the engineering take this into consideration in development? This is starting to irritate my pocketbook!

We were a Gulfstream dealer. The Tourmaster lost the hubcaps all the time. Perry is right on. Clean the inside of the cap. Clean the hub. squirt a small amount of silicone (about the size of a quarter) in three equally spaced places on hub, and you will be OK.

good idea! Thanks, now how do you hold the whole thing on? I have lost the hub caps as well as the lug covers! Which means everything is gone.
