Seems when I use the automatic mode on my HWH levelers they tend to be a little high in the back. Any ideas?

Thanks

I'm actually going through that right now myself. In fact mine got so bad that it now won't level at all.

There is a calibration process in your manual which calls for you to manually get the coach good and level. Then you crawl underneath the beast and find the HWH control box which is supposed to be next to the pump and valves... although I'm still hunting for mine.

The process in your manual outlines how to turn each calibration screw/nut to make the four led's go out... then you are supposedly set to go and your control unit is calibrated with a new reality when it comes to being level.

Here is the thread I started asking for help. Where's My HWH Sensing Unit?

Good Luck...

Rick

Thanks Rick for the info. I'll do some more research and check the manual.

I used to have the same problem but high in front, not in back. Then I made it a habit to always use the manual dump first, and then leave it long enough after complete deflation (a few minutes), to make sure that all the air was out of the bags and the coach was sitting down hard on the chassis, and only then pressing "auto level". It's always levelled up good since. I came to the conclusion at the time that if you hit "auto level" to both dump and jack in sequence automatically, then perhaps the bags are not fully dumped before the coach levelling process kicks in. So you end up kittywampuss..... that said, I am not convinced that that is the reason. Maybe something totally different going on, but manual dumping works for me....

Just for the record, the levelers are NOT part of the Freightliner chassis. They are selected and installed by the coach body builder, not Freightliner.

Some systems have this leveling control under floor near the center of your coach.
More HWH information can be found in the Quick Tips link.
