I own a 2011, Four Winds, Montecito made by Thor. After Rv'ing for a week I tried to start the engine (360 hp Cummins) but the ignition was dead. I tried my override switch and the engine started. Now, here is the weird part, I went to the motorhome yesterday and tried to start it and nothing, tried again with the override switch, and nothing. Checked my batteries, cranking batteries are in top shape, house batteries are dead! There is water is in the batteries and have been on the charger since Sunday. I then tried my house lights and they come on and are bright, tried my head lights and all of my dash light come on and the head lights are bright. Called a tow truck in to see if a jump might help. The driver tried to jump my cranking batteries, but nothing, tried to jump my house batteries so I could use my override switch but, nothing!
Where do I start my search for the problem, any ideas or help would be appreciated.
Thank you
Dennis

Try a remote starter switch on starter solinoid(sp) if that works --you have a ground problem or wiring problem.

Start you search with a call to 1.800.FTL.HELP. They have a 100% on their call back so leave a number if you don't get through at first. What you describe sounds like a wiring issue to me. They can help with suspect wiring harnesses.

Thank you all for your replies. I found the problem! It was a ignition switch wire that had worked its way loose. I will betaking it in to Freightliner for a new plug and wire. Thanks again for your replies.
