Isl 400 air compressor

I Believe the air compressor is gear driven. I do not see the belt going down to where the air compressor is located.

Can anyone tell me how the air compressor is driven?

Most compressors are gear driven off the front of the engine accessory drive gears.

I was prepping for class b lic. here in Nv. and compressor question was on the pre-trip inspection test.
