I'm looking for a source for Koni shcoks. I recently had Henderson's Lineup in Grants Pass do a road test on my RV. They also weight it and go underneath and check things out. After the road test I was invited into the pit and watched what they did - pushing, pulling and prying various suspension parts. I could see side movement on the bell crank. Their recommendations were to replace the bell crank, add new Koni FSD shock absorbers & add SuperSteer motion control units in that order of priority. I already have a Safe T Plus or they would have recommended I add that. I was very happy with the quality of the test and the attitude of the technicians. They did not hesitate to answer and discuss any questions I had.

I purchased from them and installed the SuperSteer bell crank. I haven't yet driven it so don't know how much difference it will make in the steering/handling but after seeing how loose or worn the old bell crank was I'll feel better knowing it has been replaced. For Koni shocks Henderson's price is $189 plus labor. Going online I find Koni.com is $172 and LTB Autoparts is $165 with free shipping. I kind of hate to pay more than necessary since the product is the same. The question I have is does anyone have a different market source for the Koni shocks that might be less costly than then these? Thanks Bob

Bob,

I paid $175.91, including shipping, to a neighbor of yours - Supersteer in Grants Pass. That did not include installation. It's only marginally cheaper than the $189 and a little more than the $165 you were quoted. Maybe Henderson's has a "meet-or-beat" price policy, especially since you are having work done there.

FWIW

I would recommend either one of our sponsors Brazel's RV Performance or Redlands Truck Service. Both are Koni Shock absorber distributors and can ship anywhere in the country.
