Losing electrical power to dash

Today while traveling on the interstate, I lost all gauges, cruise shut down, dash air quit. I turned off the key for a few seconds, then restarted. Everything behaved as normal

While trying to diagnose, I hit the auxiliary start button, the dash lit up as though I had just turned on the key. The key was in my pocket. Can anyone shed some light on this situation?

From my experience and from previous postings on this forum, most likely you have an electrical connection or ground problem. Checking all connections under the dash, including ground wires, may solve your problem.

Good luck

Did the motor shut down as well?
If motor shut down, I would check all grounds all wires on starter, I have a box behind the right rear wheel with relays , circuit breaker and a fuse, my wires had worked loose and I believe it was my problem, others had reports of loose wires under dash.

The aux start will light up the dash with no key.

Good luck!

Thanks, I cleaned connections at starter and at batteries. I have driven 1000 miles with no issues.
