Took the MH ('05 Winne. Journey, C7 Cat) last weekend. About 50 miles into the trip, it started to loose power. It shifted down and would only go about 40 mph. and was hard starting. I thought the problem might be fuel related so I changed both filters (had about 6000 miles on them). Didn't cure the problem so I had it towed to a CAT dealer. Turned out to be 3 bad injecters, possibly caused by low fuel pressure although the pressure checked OK. Dealer suggested installing a fuel pressure gauge. The good news - towing and repair was cover under warranty.

And what could have caused the low fuel presure if it wasn't clogged filters, the fuel pump ??? Where you running any cold weather fuel conditioners ? I would think maybe your fuel lines where geled up. I would think that if the coach would have sat inside in the warmth for a few hours the lines would have cleared too. I wonder if Cat got clipped for the injectors???

Jestme-
I don't think it was gelled fuel - the temp was about 20 deg. I run winter blend with anti-gel additive. I opened the water separator several days earlier (temp. about 10 deg.) and the fuel flowed freely. I think if the fuel was gelled, it would be noticed at start-up.

interesting that 3 injectors went at the same time, don't ya think. Did they give you a cause for the failures?

The back three, #4, 5, & 6, were bad. For some reason, it is not uncommon for those to go at the same time.
