lost power steering

Ok this Is crazy, I was driving my 06 discovery (freightliner chassi) and I tough to my self that my power stering got a little bit harder but at the same time I toght Its probably In my head, but the next time I drove the rv I was stoped at a light and when the light turned green I drove off and a couple hundred feet ahead I lost power stering, I pulled over and turned off the engine and I found all the power stering fluid all over the floor, the hose that conects to the stering box just came off and the clamp felt like It was tight, I know that there is a recall on the power stering on my rv but I don't know if the line caming off Is related to the recall, any Idea what could cause the line to came off, and I guess the stering probably did got a little harder I wasn't going crazy, thanks in advance Joe.

The recall involves the reciprocating ball power assist unit and not hoses. You probably ought to call Freightliner Customer Service and ask about it, though. Hydraulic hoses don't just fall off due to normal wear and tear. Your chassis warranty may still be in effect - it is longer than the coach warranty.

I think I solved the problem by getting the recall done, the recall Is a in line power stering filter and the filter came a part and It cloged up and was creating to much pressure in the system and was causing the line to pop out, make sure that you guys check your mh for any recalls, Joe.

Can you share the info that includes FL serial/VIN numbers. I've searched high and low. I can find the recall, but not those chassis specifically affected.

Thanks
Steve
