Ever since I put the motion control units on, it takes much longer to air up before the coach is ready to roll. Sometimes 10 minutes. Is this what others have experienced? Joe

I have not noticed any significant delay airing up the suspension on ours.

No difference on airing up on my coach either. It is a bit slower airing down but not significantly so.

If you have a smart wheel you can raise the idle up by turning on the cruise control. The higher rpm will fill the tanks quicker.

I've had my MCUs on for three years and have not noticed any delay in dumping the air or airing back up. Might check and make sure that they are tight and that you don't have a leak.

It takes me about 30 seconds longer to deflate my air bags since my MCU install, but inflation time is the same. Sounds like an air line obstruction of some sort. 10 minutes is an awfully long time.

Just had MCU installed on mine, it is not any slower or faster than it was before. Maybe your dump valve is having some sort of malfuntion?

For those of you that say there is no difference, did you actually time the inflation/deflation before and after the MCU's were installed? Mine gained about 3.5 minutes on both cycles.

Hi azloafer (as in the shoe I hope),
I absolutely love the MCUs that I installed about a year ago. The handling was great to start with, and it’s improved 5 fold.
As to the time to inflate, I haven’t noticed any increase in up time but now that you mention it, there may be a slight increase in time. I use a fast idle of 900 to 1000 RPM as I’m ready to leave and this reduces the air up time considerably. I believe it’s about 3 to 4 minutes. It also helps with the electrical load placed on the system by the HWH dump valves.
The down time is increased just enough to be noticeable. It’s also made the dump procedure a lot less noisy. Our Journey really screeched when it was dumped to the point that I had to make silencers for the exhaust air from the dump valve. I’m sure that the MCU’s would have quieted the screech to a very reasonable sound level.

I haven't really noticed a difference, but I really wasn't paying attention before I got them.

I've had mine for >2yrs and haven't noticed any difference... but never measured it. I'm sure it's not close to 10min.

I don't know what happened but the coach airs up in about 3 minutes now. Must have just been a glitch in the system because it is fine now. Thanks for the replies, Joe
