Your engine is (was?) supported by Detroit Diesel and Freightliner. Have you checked with either of them for suggestions or specifications? Also suggest you measure the exhaust pipe diameter and dimensions of the original muffler and shop from that point.

Check Mandrel Tube Bending, Stainless Steel Tubing for availability. You may need dimensions and inlet/outlet information to find the correct muffler.

Thanks for the link. I saved it for when my time comes for replacement.

I have done a lot of searching and I found the part # on my muffler. It is a Donaldson 111179 A7. I have been all over their site and found a lot that were close, but not the right on. I have left messages on their site asking for help but I think they do not deal with retail. It has a 5" inlet at the top and a 5" outlet at the end. 36"L x 11.5" across. I am heading to a freightliner place today with my muffler and see if they can help. Thanks for your input.

well Freightliner found a replacement for me. $1186.00 for the VINTAGE muffler and another $1084.00 for the pipe from muffler to the exaust manifold. While I was catching my breath the parts guy said I should try and have someone fab a new one. Probably half of that price he said with a smile. I came back home and went to work finding one by type and size. Thanks for the advise on here. I found one that will fit but is a little longer, (I'll cut my tail pipe 5" to make it fit) $201.42 for the muffler and about $70 for 90s to make my pipe plus shipping #314.36. Beets the heck out of $2270.86. As soon as I get my new one and see if it will do, I am going to tear into my old one and look for the gold linner LOL.
