Chaffeekid,

Thanks. I'll see if they will give me the part numbers. Once I get the part numbers, I can search and see what choices I may have.

We sell Koni and Bilstein shocks. I recommend the Koni's, as we've had lots of customers who had Bilstein's, and put the Koni's on, and very much liked the ride over their prior shocks.

Koni's do a superior job on handling quick jolts, such as expansion joints in the road, giving a superior ride. They still provide great stability for handling purposes.

Ask anyone who has them on their coach. I do.

Do a search on this forum. I"m confident the Koni's will win.

Hey Pusherman,Iwant to replace the front shocks on my Tradewinds as she's a bit wishy-washy going down the road. I have new rubber all around. The fronts are Michelin 255/80r/22.5 at 97K and the rears are Toyo 265/75R/225 and were just replaced last week at 104K. The rear shocks are about two y/o Bilsteins. I want to try the Konis on the front and the number I got from Freightliner help was BSN AK 2267 and I can't seem to be able to cross them.

Go to Koni's website http://konirv.com/ and choose your chassis. They will tell you what the Koni p/n is. Then go shopping.

In the world of shocks there are OEM and aftermarket. Most Oem shocks are almost junk when new. FL uses a brand something like sachs. They are not a large dialmeter shock. Amongst aftermarket shocks for MH's the top of the line is Road King. But way too expensive. High end units like Bluebirds use Konis. IMHO the best in the marketplace. Monroes are better than what they sold 10 years ago but still no match for either Koni or Bilstein. You do not need the part # from FL. Koni lists the shocks for the XC chassis. I started to co mpare prices and the lowest price I found for Konis was $165 ea. inculding freight.

That price for the Koni is a good price. I to am replacing the front shocks on my Monaco Dynasty. May I ask where you received that price as I will probably give them a call and order 4.

Thanks
Wayne

I found them on the Koni website for $147.95 + shipping for the FS for my Freightliner with the Neway FS front axle.
I'm gonna get them changed when we get to Las Vegas the end of this week. That is I can win enuff at the casinos to pay for them.

$177 for the straight axle at KoniRV. Didn't check shipping cost.

I just wish Koni made FSD's for our 14,600# Reyco Granning front axle! All they have is the red adjustable ones. I have FSD's on the rear and the adjustable ones on the front so I get a jarring ride from the front.

Jon Brazel: I did go to your website but you need a new IT person. It is extremely hard to navigate and full of search errors. I am a business person and if that were my website I would kill it and start over. You could probably double your online sales with a good site.

Replacing shocks w/ KONI's

Thanks to all who shared their thoughts. Decided to replace all four with KONI's.
