Oasis Shop in Tolleson, Az Has New Digs!

This has long been my favorite Oasis shop and I just picked up my coach following her annual service.

The entire Freightliner operation has a new facility just a block from their old one but it is very modern and well equipped. They have about 8 or 10 spots for coaches awaiting service with full 50 amp hook ups and a very nice, fenced dog park with GRASS!

As always, Kirk their service manager, took very good care of us and was a pleasure to work with. Now we're ready to hit the road on our 4 month, 7000 mile journey.

They are located just off of Interstate 10 west of Phoenix so if you're traveling and need their service... you'll be well cared for.

Probably a great service facility but when the quoted me charges that equalled $140.00 hr I got a bit apprehensive. I'm sure it's a great place to stay for service but can't afford them.

I hear you Richard. I've yet to find an inexpensive Oasis shop.

I was actually pleasantly surprised that my M1 annual service "only" cost me $289 + tax. I think last year I paid a bit over $250 at SpeedCo.

I hope they've cleaned up their act. When I took a coach in a few years ago for service they purposely skipped some items required by Freightliner for the coach service at that mileage. Also, they refused to allow me to observe the service. When I attempted to watch from OUTSIDE the service bay they closed the bay door, requiring me to watch from open bays on each side of the one my coach was in or look through very dirty windows of the closed bay door. The majority of the other bay doors in the shop were open. In addition, they did not complete a required Freightliner Service Bulletin, and when I asked why it wasn't done, they became quite obnoxious about it.

I haven't gone back since and don't intend to. Once burned, twice shy!

I do all my own oil, filter, grease, fuel filter and other oil levels myself. When I purchased the 2002 Horizon 5 years ago, I found the fan hub bearing had never been greased, probably because you had to remove the bed cover but, it ain't that hard. Some service centers are scary to me.
I will keep it up as long as I can still get up off the ground
