The odometer om my 2005 Itasca Horizon, with 4oo Cummins zeroed out so I lost all of my mileage info as to oil changes, when I had repairs done and that kind of stuff. I did have some work done at Freightliner but all was okay when I left and then I noticed the odometer went to Kilos and then zeroed.

Any ideas or any sugestions for a fix?

did it truly zero, or did it just switch over the kilo mode?

If the latter, you should be able to switch it back once you know the secret thump.

The mileage data is stored in the ECM and is accessible via the diagnostic port on my Freightliner chassis. I can imagine that flashing the ECM might destroy that information but that is the only way.

In your shoes, I'd find a Cummins dealer and have them hook up to your diagnostic port to see of the data is really missing or the dash display function for it has malfunctioned.

I have a tool called VMSpc that plugs into the diagnostic port and translates the chassis data so that it can be displayed on a laptop. With that, I can look at the mileage and the engine hours meter, the latter being something that does not display on the dash. VMSpc also displays all fault codes for the chassis and many other "gauges" like turbo boost for which my dash does not have representation. The $400 price tag has more than been offset several times over with my savings on dealer repairs.

This happened to Our freight-liner chassis 07 Providence when we took delivery they hooked up to computer and reset to the correct mileage . I noticed this when we drove 1500 miles and it reset to 0 also. They know what the problem is but would say why it reset to 0. Take to freight-liner dealer they fix it and give a printout. Free which was nice for once.
