I have a used 2008 Roadtrek Freightliner, diesel by Mercedes w/ 48,000 mi.

On the last several trips, before starting the motor, the dip stick level has registered midway between Min & Max. About 75 miles (+/-) into the trips, the message it the cluster tells me that the oil level was "HI". I though it had to do with the high outside temperature &/or because of coming across the Coastal mtn. range. However on our latest trip which was only 95 miles (+/-) one way and was perfectly flat in terms of changing altitude, the same message appeared in the instrument cluster.

Can anyone give me some insight?

Have your mechanic clear the fault codes in the computer. If it happens again, most likely there is a glitch in the sensor.
