I have had a problem with this since I got the coach. First, I couldn't find any documentation on how to set the time and date. I spent an hour of labor to have the Freightliner dealer show me how to do it.

Apparently the hour didn't include diagnostics to see if it was operating problems. I can now set the time whenever I want. When I shut the engine off and restart it, the data bar resets to whatever the date and time was when it was last set. It currently starts on April 27th at 8 PM, which was the last time I reset it.

Is there a setting that I can change to make this work properly? The Freightliner dealer is 45 minutes away and it seems silly to spend several hours driving for something as minor as this, but it needs to be fixed? Is it user serviceable? I can't imagine it would take much to change it.

I've had and continue to have some problems with the information bar. I called FL and they walked me through some things but apparently I have loose connection somewhere and the bar sometimes has a mind of its own. My date/time never will stay and sometime the trip/leg miles, mpg, etc will zero out.

We've been out going on three weeks and its worked fine, except for the time/date and since I eat when I'm hungry and rest when I'm tired I really don't care what time it is.

I'll poke around on the FCC website and find the instruction manual and post a link to it.

Maybe this will help some...page 53

Have you tried calling Freighliner technical service. Any time I've had a problem they had an answer to include calling back once with a revised answer after doing more research.

Had the same problems and when in Gaffney for service told the tech I couldn't seem to set or reset the date time. He showed me how to do it but later he came back and told me that it was not keeping the setting, duh, thought I knew that. Long story short they replaced the information bar and now OK

Once I figured out how to change the settings all is well, except when I turn off the chassis batteries, then the date and time rest to May on mine. I did nave a problem with a high voltage alarm and the Freightliner dealer had to reprogram mine from the ground up as none of the setting (trans temp, etc.) were reading properly. There is a 10 page or so document on how the LBCU (Light Bar Control Unit) can be programmed - think I have it in pdf format somewhere.
