Has anyone had to change out the top & bottom radiator hoses ? Just got a price from Freightliner, Fontana,CA. 98.00 top hose, 58.00 bottom hose. No labor included/Parts only. This sounds a little pricey, or is that about the going price for ea. Or can I cross reference the part no's and get a simular brand ? The hoses were installed by Freightliner. I have a 2005 Fleetwood Revolution C-7 engine. Freightliner chassis. Comments welcomed.

Check with Freightliner in Gaffney,SC they usually have lowest price. (864 206 8613 ask for parts) Of course if your shop in Fontana is going to replace the hoses you may have to accept their prices.
Different engine but for info my Cummins ISB upper hose was $70 the lower is just a short coupler and was $15

Thanks Hooligan, Gaffney,SC is a little far for me to drive to. I think I'm going to cross reference the part no. and see what's out there. I've always been firm on OEM parts, but $ 150.00 for 2 hoses is to much. on the other hand perhaps the hoses are inlayed with gold.

You don't have to drive to Gafney - you can get parts delivered to your home.

Get the parts yourself and then shop for a local diesel shop to put them in for you. If they insist on charging you their mark up for parts, then you have a set of spares.

I don't know about the parts being inlayed with gold, but I do know that Cat and Freightliner shops think their service personnel are white-gloved cream of the crop royalty and that all RV owners have bulging money rolls that are burning holes in our pockets. I understand that little plastic overflow tank mounted on top of the radiator sells for over $100 where $20 would be a big price.

Thanks Gary, I'll call Gafney and have the hoses delivered. I plan on doing the installation myself.
