As mentioned, the VMSpc has a number of different gauges available for selecting.....including a Fuel gauge which includes distance to empty.

See the box upper left corner of how I have my display configured.

mine will show or toggle between
instant mpg, fuel used this trip, or fuel total, miles driven this leg or total

or fuel this leg.

The problem with the computer mpg or fuel used is that it only records engine fuel use. We boon-dock overnight at rest areas with the generator and air conditioning running. You have to manually add the generator fuel to the computer display.
