I curently have my '06 Discovery 39S in for warranty related work. I only had the coach for a month and have been out on one 2,400 mile trip and I have quite a laundry list of repairs.

I spoke to my dealer yesterday and they said that they noted that when the air bags are deflated the rear driver's side tire slightly touches the rear drivers side quarter panel. They are trying to figure out what has caused this. They said that it could be that the rear axle may not have been centered properly or the coach frame may not have been placed square on the chassis.

Has anyone had a similar problem?

Thanks for your comments.

If someone is following you and says your coach looks like a crab going sideways than your "thrust angle" is out of line. In other words rear end doesn't follow the front end strait down the road your frame is not set on rear axel one way or the another. My gas cost for corrections $80 thrust and $100 front end alinement. It was off by about 1/4". "007"

Thanks 007.

Would those adjustments have anything to do with the fact that my tire touches the inner lip of the driver's side quarter panel when the air bags are deflated?

Thanks for your assistance.

Mike if its your rear tire yes it would when bags inflated just harder to notice. The thrust angle could have been off before the box was placed on chassis. Would have thought they would have checked first though. "007"

Thanks 007.

Yes, it is my rear tire driver's side which is touching the inner lip of the quarter panel when the air bags are deflated. Sounds like you identified the problem. I guess it is still possible that the coach box was not placed on the chassis square also?

Guess this isn't as big of an issue as I originally thought and my dealer will be able to correct the problem. On Friday my dealer was working with Fleetwood to determine if it was a Fleetwood issue or a Freightliner issue.

How do they make the necessary adjustments? Is the rear axle simply shifted to properly center it?

Thanks for your advice.
