replacing the fogs with driving lights

Hi all,
I'm replacing the fogs with driving lights on this Itasca with the XC chassis. (It seems there is no end to how much light you need with this MH - the Hellas are good, but more is needed). The fog circuit only works in low beam, so I need to rewire the connections since driving lights can only work in high beam or manual control. I don't want to tie into the high beam circuit for the full load as the load for that circuit is already determined and the driving lights are fused with 20 amp. So I need to tie in independent power source of the lights. I can hook the switch wire to the high beam side if I want high beam switch control.

Behind the fuse / breaker door up front there seems no good spot to tie in! I see no easy to use power and ground connectors. Outside the box elsewhere upfront I don't see any good locations either.
The lights have an independent fuse so I don't need to wire in another fuse in the existing fuse block.

Where is a good spot up front to tie in this light kit?

I'm putting in the PIAA 510 Series Driving Lamp Kit.

How about directly to the hot buss bar in the front electrical box, or, directly to the chassis battery.

The chassis battery is a long way away and the hot bus bar is an option if I drill out a hole in the box for the wires to pass through. I'll let you know tomorrow what I figure out.

I did end up direct to the hot bus bar, but the installation was a bit of a pain. The bus is mounted to a back plate that is screwed into the firewall on 4 posts. One of the posts is covered by a relay. After removing all the screws and the relay to get to the last screw the bus comes down a bit. By all means not a lot of access. It barely turns down enough to get on the bar. Also, an interesting wiring mess back there. The bus has both red and black hot buses. The black bus, I think, is a reverse polarity feed - not sure why or what for, but red bus to the ground on the firewall did provide a positive voltage differential. I found the ground on the firewall as well. All is wired up now.

These lights are awesome. Very bright and white. The also fit the front of the Horizon just fine - almost stock looking. Now just getting them adjusted just right.

See, where theres a will, theres a way. Yes, please do aim the properly, I hate driving lights that are not adjusted properly, they burn my retinas. Even poorly adjusted head lights hurt and blind

I'm with you on that for sure. On first adjustment there are too low - hit only about 30ft in front of the coach, so I have some work to do to get them out a little further, but the light quality is just so good, much better then even the Hella's.

didnt the PIAA's come with alignment instruction? Like against the garage door, measure up so many inchs and set to that mark ? Or, is it trial and error
