Year and model of chassis? There are several different displays in use.

It sounds like your button is broken (or stuck). You're going to have to solve that problem first.

Then, to reset the date, position the date at the top line of the display. Push the button to the right and hold it there until you get the display changes and allows you to change the day month year. Use the left/right and up/down button to set the right date.

The display thingy is the Light Bar Control Unit...LBCU.

If you go to the Freightliner Custom Chassis website and do a search for "LBCU" you will find specific instructions on toggling through the unit.

I know how to "work" the display what I am asking is this. Is there a way to unplug the thing, or disconnect the battery etc to send it back to the year 2000 somehow or another it has dones this a couple of times but i dont remember what happened to the rv to make this happen it was something simple like a low battery or something.

You can set any date you want with the toggle button.

I'm just guessing here. But I think if power is disconnected a lot of things are going to get rest; including the year.

Are you trying to make the year read 2000? Or are you just trying to figure out what will make it rest?
