My seal is leaking and looking for a replacement. I'm thinking that I just need to remove the 6 screws and install a new hub-seal. I have been 'googling' for info but cannot find an actual pic to get a part number.
I am heading out on a 200 mile trip tomorrow AM and hoping it will be OK til I get to my destination.
Any help/info appreciated.
Thanks
DICK

It appears to me the tiny hole in rubber plug may be plugged! This is the vent for the oil cap. I have 2 class 8 trucks, and you have to clean the hole with a paper clip once in awhile. If the "seal" is bad on front of cap, oil would be leaking between the ring w/6 screws and the face of the actual cap. If the rubber plug gets hard from age, replace with new soft one.

R.G.Wise--
Thank you for the quick reply.
I went out, pulled the cap, cleaned the hole and when reinserting the cap I broke the plastic window. Pretty brittle. Too much time in the elements.
It wasn't leaking from the cap. It was leaking between the plastic and metal parts above the word 'Longview'.
Postponed our trip for a day (hopefully only a day) so I can look for a new part tomorrow. Doesn't look that hard to replace for a 'shadetree' mechanic.
Thanks again,
DICK

UPDATE: Got the hub-seal window kit, installed it and now ready for the road again.
