Tire Pressure (again)

I know this subject has been beat about many times, but I still have a question. After weighing my axles, I went to the Michelin Tire guide and found, with my weights, I should be running 100 psi in front and 95 in rear. Now, after a few miles on the freeway, the psi naturally increases and in the 93 deg. heat yesterday, the front read about 118 and the rears about 108(TST TPMS). Is there any logic to starting out with a colder psi rating below the recommended psi, knowing that in a few miles the pressure will rise?

I have read more than i care to remember about tire pressures. All the experts agree. Fill up when tires are cold and never bleed air off when the temp increases.

No, The tire inflation charts account for the rise in temperature/pressure condition. Don't second guess the tire charts.

NO to your question----running tires cold under the correct pressure is enough to potentially damage them----underinflation is often sited as a primary cause of tire failure---it does not take many revolutions of a tire at the weights we run to damage them.

Yes, as the tires get hot the pressure increases,,, This is why they say to check and inflate them COLD, First thing in the morning (Assuming you did not drive all night)
