So I am not going to trade the bus. 2000 model, 21,000 miles. Tires are 7+ years old. Looked and priced many. Michelin, Toyo, Bridgestone, Goodyear. Anyone have any suggestions what to buy?

Thanks

I hear a lot of good things on both Goodyear and Michelin.

I believe if you go to the Goodyear RV site, they have a $20/tire rebate available.

I just replaced my Michelins with Toyo's and I am very pleased with them. They are 255/70 R22 16 ply H load range.Ride is a noticable improvement with these tires. May be due to the width. (difference between the 70 and 80)

have had four new coachs in the last 13 years and they have all had Good Year or Michelin, never had any problems with either. One set of Good years went over 7 years.

One of my major considerations when buying new tires was the availability of replacements. We don't carry a spare yet (it is in my plan to do so) and I was very concerned about finding a compatible tire during our travels if one was needed. There were many more sources of Michelins than Toyos in my researh. I could not find a Goodyear size that appeared to fit our coach. The Goodyear's wider profile gave me concerns about spacing on the duals.

The Michelins on our coach when we bought it were 4 years old but showed signs of potential failure - cracking in the sidewall. I suspect that this was from abuse in the over a year timeframe while it was waiting to be sold. We replaced those tires with Michelins and I've been very diligent in maintaining them. To date (knock on wood) we've had no tire problems, similar to the previous owner's experience. I plan to replace these tires at 5 years and it will likely be with Michelins.
