My Toads right turn signal/brake light recently stopped working. All of the stop and turn signals are working properly on the coach. I have checked the fuses located on the firewall at the front of the coach behind the access panel and all appear to be in good condition. None of the fuses are marked "tow lights" I have checked the prongs on the female trailer plug and found all to be working properly except for the right turn signal/stop light.

I have read on past post that an additional fuse box is located somewhere in the outside storage compartments. Any suggestions?

Thanks,

The first place that I would look is inside (the side that the wires enter) the connector on the coach. I have found broken or corroded wires there numerous times.

The fuses for the rear plug are usually located in the shoreline compartment of the basement behind the rear tires on the drivers side. They are behind a sheetmetal panel that is not easy to see unless you know that it is there. The fuses are in a junction box and are hard to get to for checking them. Good Luck

I took your advise and checked in the shoreline compartment behind the drivers side rear wheel. I was unsure as to the exact location so I turned on the emergency flashers and was able to trace the sound to a fuse box behind a metal panel. I found the 20 amp right turn single fuse needed to be replaced and problem solved.

Thank all of you for your help on this one!

Glad to be of help. I just wish that I had access to a forum like this when I had the same problem. My coach was brand new, so I took it to the local Freightliner dealer to find out the what was wrong. They charged me $85, including $3 for the 20 amp fuse. Warranty would not cover the charge. My "learning curve" got a little better at that point.
Don't hesitate to ask questions on this forum. Most of them are answered or you get a good idea about who to call to get the right answer. Good luck.

I had the same problem. I also had traced the flasher noise to that compartment but before I tore into it I thought I would call tech service at Winnebago, they told me where to find that fuse. Winny has great tech help. I have talked to people that have had the same problem and spent lots of money looking for those hidden fuses. I now have a printed label on that panel that says whats behind there.
I also wanted some touch up paint just in case. They were able to tell me not only the color but what vehicle used that color. Popped into Pep Boys and "Got er done".
