Caterpillar has published a document which addresses coach owner concerns and questions regarding their motorhomes performance. The document goes into quite a bit of detail describing the variables attributing to performance and fuel efficiency.

Although the information was developed on, and references CAT engines, it applies to other manufactures performance as well. Certainly the information pertaining to HP requirements to offset resistance and the relation to fuel economy applies to all motorhomes, gas and diesel alike.

Thanks Caterpillar The document is full of good information.

Grab a cup of coffee, get a comfortable seat, and enjoy.

Send a message via ICQ to Fred and Bonnie
While the article was written with DP owners in mind, lots of the info relates to ALL RV operators.

The link is a .pdf file so you will need to be sure that you have Adobe Reader installed on our PC.

Adobe Reader is a free program available for download.

I guess Cummins did a similar article to the one Cat did. Sure slowed me down and now the higher prices will mean I'll be the pusher in my pusher
